While Pastor Jung Myung Seok developed Wolmyeongdong, he realized so much that he shouldn't handle God’s artwork carelessly. If you mess up even with something as small as a person’s eyebrow, you could be in big trouble. Just like this, he realized that if he made a mistake with developing the mountain, which was God’s artwork, the power of God would disappear.

That is why, when developing the mountain in Wolmyeongdong, he cut it down little by little and thought of the next step carefully in detail. He scraped the mountain a little, climbed up the mountain, checked its proportion with the entire view, and then scraped the mountain little bit more.

When developing the Front Mountain, it took him six times to complete the construction. Checking from Ganeun-gol, he worked on it little by little. Later, he received an inspiration that it would look better if he developed the area from one end of the persimmon tree to the other. So he took action on that inspiration exactly.

However, he thought that the sports field was still too small. So after praying and thinking deeply, he decided to move the field out and away from the mountain.

At that time, if Pastor Jung had decided to cut down the mountain even more, he would have destroyed the mountain.

It would have looked like a man who got his puffy hair cut off and sideburns abruptly shaved with a razor. Like this, even with your actions, you shouldn’t do too much or do too little.

But on the other hand, if he hadn’t developed the mountain that much, the yard would have looked awkward. Since he worked on it perfectly, it became pleasing to the eye. However, it is very difficult to make something satisfying like that.

 정명석 목사가 월명동 자연성전을 개발하면서 

 하나님의 작품은 함부로 손대면 안 된다는 것을 

 많이 느꼈습니다. 

 사람의 눈썹 조그만 것도 잘못대면 큰일 나는데

 하나님의 작품인 산을 개발할 때 잘못하면 

 힘이 없어지는 것을 깨달았습니다.

 그래서 월명동 산을 개발할 때도 조금 긁어내고

 그 다음 작업을 신중히 생각했습니다. 

 산을 조금 긁어내고 나서는 올라가서 

 전체의 배경과 맞추어 보고 다시 긁어냈습니다. 

 앞산을 개발할 때는 6번까지 공사했습니다. 

 가는골에 가서 쳐다보고 조금씩 했습니다. 

 나중에 가서는 감나무와 감나무 사이로 

 그 선까지 개발하면 좋게 된다는 깨달음이 와 

 그대로 했습니다. 

 그런데 운동장이 좁다는 생각이 들었습니다.

 그래서 기도 하면서 신중히 생각하여 

 운동장을 밖으로 옮겼습니다.

 그 때 정명석 목사가 만약 더 개발했으면 

 산을 버렸을 것입니다. 

 마치 남자가 더벅머리 깎고서 옆의 구레나룻을 

 면도칼로 끊는 듯한 모습이었을 것입니다. 

 이처럼 사람의 행실도 너무 지나치게 해버리면 

 안 되고, 너무 못해도 안 됩니다. 

 또 반면에 산을 그 만큼도 개발하지 않았으면

 마당이 이상해졌을 것입니다.

 그런데 적당하게 해놓아 아주 좋게 되었습니다.

 그렇게 하기가 참 어렵습니다.
