In Wolmyeongdong, the Natural Temple, there are several gazebos.

When you go up above the lawn, there is one gazebo that Pastor Jung Myeong Seok really values.

Even though he values that gazebo so much, there is a certain pine tree that he values even more, and it is next to the gazebo.

He had been tending it for more than 40 years, and that’s why he values it more than the gazebo. It’s not like he simply tended it once or twice. He tended it so many times.

In the past, a guy named Hong-rae kept saying that he was going to take the pine tree, so Pastor Jung prayed that he would be blocked from taking it.

Hong-rae could have taken the pine tree anytime he wanted since it was planted on his mountain, but he could not because rocks were tightly embedded around the tree.

It was not Pastor Jung’s mountain, but he visited and took care of that pine tree everyday. In the end, after 40 years, the mountain and the pine tree came to be a part of God’s temple, thus fulfilling his wish as well.

In this way, nothing is fulfilled instantly.

Gazebos can be built again, but for that pine tree, Pastor Jung had to endeavor for it for 40 years.

Because of the story behind that pine tree, Pastor Jung built a gazebo at the place where the pine tree was located.

In the past, when Pastor Jung bought the land, he thought he must make that place a place of prayer no matter what.

God gave inspiration to him to build a gazebo there, so he came to build a place that has a good atmosphere for praying.

월명동 자연성전에는 여러 개의 정자가 있습니다. 

잔디 밭 위쪽을 올라가다 보면 한 정자가 있는데 

정명석 목사는 그 정자를 아주 귀하게 여깁니다.

정자도 귀하지만 거기에 있는 소나무는 정명석 목사가 

40년 이상 손질해 와서 더 귀하게 여기는 것입니다.

그 소나무 손질을 한 두 번 한 것이 아닙니다. 

예전에 그 소나무를 ‘홍래’라는 사람이 매일 캐간다고 해서 

정명석 목사는 캐가지 않도록 해달라고 기도까지 했습니다. 

그는 자기 산이기에 얼마든지 캐갈 수 있었는데 

바위가 쩔어서 캐가지 못했습니다. 

정명석 목사는 자기 산이 아닌데도 매일 쫓아다니면서 

소나무를 관리했습니다. 

그것이 40년 만에 이뤄져 그 산도 소나무도 하나님의 성전 

안에 있게 되었습니다.

이처럼 무엇이 이뤄질 때는 그렇게 금방 이뤄지는 것이 

아닙니다. 

정자는 다시 지을 수도 있지만, 소나무는 40년 동안 

수고해야 합니다. 

그런 뜻이 있기에 정자를 그 소나무가 있는 곳에 

만들었습니다.

전에 정명석 목사가 그 땅을 살 때 거기에 어떻게든 

기도하는 장소로 만들어야겠다고 생각했었는데 

하나님께서 그곳에 정자를 짓게 감동 주셔서 기도하기

좋은 장소로 만들게 되었습니다.
