When a tree is planted, it is unsatisfactory if the roots are weak.

Even if you replant a tree, a new leaf will grow if the roots are anchored in the ground.

However, if the roots are weak then a leaf will never bud.

A tree is alive when it begins to bud.

When moving a pine tree, some people leave all of the tree leaves [on the tree], because they are too good to be cut off.

However, you shouldn’t do it in that way. You should pull them all off.

New leaves will die if the old leaves remain.

Leave only 1 out of 100 leaves and pull all the rest off.

Faith, too, will die if it is old.

If you have the opinions of the old times and the thoughts of the old times even though you came to the new history, it is death.

That is the law.

The law of individuals, the law of nature, and the law of morality flow together.

So, while planting a pine tree, I said,

“You have been raised in the same way [as the pine tree]. I need to give you water and raise you.

Furthermore, I’m sorry but all your leaves must be torn off.

In the world, you have to cut off regrets. Cut them all off. You will live if you cut them all off.

Though it may seem like a loss when you cut everything off, a new branch will grow after three years.”



When I plant trees, I trim them ruthlessly.

Though the leaves of the Zelkova tree at the entrance of the sports field have bloomed, I don't think they will stay healthy.

The leaves are dark.

It is because there is an imbalance between the amount of water absorbed by the tree and how much foliage it has.

It happened because the tree could not absorb enough when the leaves were blooming.

I know well because I manage lives.


The day before yesterday, the pine tree on the rock was red.

I told someone to water it, but they only gave it nutrients.

If a person is dying because they are dehydrated, can the person live if you only give them nutrients?

In this circumstance, you must give them water.

I told them to give the pine tree ten containers of water and balance the tree by trimming the branches.

A pine tree that is on a rock dries out quickly, so I have to keep giving it water.



It is so hard when people try to plant a pine tree on a rock.

It takes 50 years to raise one.

Human beings are petty.

During the time they raise a single pine tree, their life will come to an end.

People think that they will do big works and great works in their lives.

However, if they think wrong, they will end up doing small works in their lives.

Therefore, you have to think well.

진리가 확 박히지 않으면 시원찮은 것입니다.


나무를 심었는데 뿌리가 약하면 시원찮은 것입니다.

나무를 옮겨 심었어도 뿌리가 들어박혀서 땅 내를 맡으면 새잎이 납니다.

그러나 뿌리가 약하면 새 순이 안 납니다.

새 순이 나면 그 나무는 살았다고 하는 것입니다.

어느 사람은 소나무 옮겨 심으면서 아깝다고 그 잎사귀를 다 놔두는데,

그러면 안되고 다 뽑아내야 합니다.

옛날 잎사귀가 있으면 오히려 죽습니다.

1/100만 남겨놓고서 다 뽑아 내버려야 합니다.


신앙도 옛날 것이 있으면 죽습니다.

새로운 역사에 왔는데 구시대의 주장을 갖고있고,

구시대의 사고를 갖고있으면 죽는 것입니다.

그것은 법칙입니다.

개인의 법칙이나, 자연의 법칙, 천륜의 법칙은 통하게 되어있습니다.

그래서 소나무를 갖다 심어놓고서 얘기합니다.

“너희도 이와 같이 키워왔다. 물을 주고 가꾸어야 한다.

그리고 아깝지만 다 쥐어뜯어야겠다.

너희는 세상의 미련을 끊어라. 다 끊어라. 다 끊어야 산다.

끊으면 엉성하지만, 3년만 가면 새 가지가 난다” 합니다.


나무를 심으면 가지치기를 사정없이 해버립니다.

운동장 입구에 심은 느티나무도 잎이 확 피었는데도 못 믿습니다.

까뭇까뭇합니다.

왜냐하면 빨아들이는 물과 잎사귀의 밸런스가 안 맞기 때문입니다.

잎이 확 필 때 물을 그만큼 못 빨아 들여서 그렇습니다. 

저는 생명에 손을 대기 때문에 잘 압니다.


엊그제도 바위의 소나무가 빨갰습니다.
 
그 전에 물을 주라고 했었는데 물은 안주고 영양만 주었더라구요.

사람이 물이 없어서 죽어 가는데, 영양기만 준다고 살겠습니까?

그 때는 물을 주어야지요.

물을 10통 넘게 주라고 하고, 가지를 잘라서 밸런스를 맞추었습니다.

바위 위의 소나무는 물이 금방 마르기에 물을 계속 주어야 합니다.


사람이 바위에 소나무 심으려면 힘듭니다.

그것 하나 키우려면 50년이 걸립니다.

인간이 하찮은 것입니다.

소나무 하나 기르다가 인생 끝나는 것입니다.

인생에 큰일을 하고, 많은 일을 할 것 같아도 생각을 잘못하면

조그만 일밖에 못하고 그냥 끝나는 것입니다.

그래서 생각을 잘해야 합니다.
