All of you, more or less, just try to dig up and plant a tree by yourself.
Dig up and plant the tree and make it live.
You might need the strength that you have to put your life on the line in order to do so.
You will need to use 100% of your strength.

All tasks are not easy like that.
I’m just telling you to take a single pine tree to a different place and make it live.

It is even harder if you try to do it alone.
That is why I am telling you to work together.
If 10 people work together, it only requires 1/10 of the strength. If 100 people do it, it only requires 1/100 of the strength.

You will know how hard it is when you do something.
Those who have dug up the pine tree before will know.
They say, “I didn’t know that moving a pine tree is this hard. It is truly hard”
Only those who did it before know how precious the pine tree is. Others do not know.

This place, too, people who did not participate in the landscaping think that the rock landscape was made the pine trees were kept just as it was in the mountain.
So I just said yes to them.
They say, “The pine trees here are preserved so naturally without touching it,” and think it did not cost any strength.
To dig them up and plant them, however, I did it while biting my tongue.

Digging up was hard too, but in order to plant them, we had to spade the boulder for four days and planted them there.
They do not know that it took that much hard work.
Nevertheless, I and my disciples did it without having a single tree die.
I made the trees live thinking, “Since we dug and planted them like this, they should not die. I will do it sincerely”
They would be all dead if I did it halfheartedly.

In the same way, it is not easy for something to be In existence.
It exists very arduously.
It does not just become like that.

여러분이 더도 말고 덜도 말고 나무 한 그루를 혼자서 캐다 심어 보십시오.

나무를 캐다 심어서 살리기까지 해보십시오.

그렇다면 힘도 목숨을 건 힘이 필요할 것입니다.

100% 힘을 다 써야 될 것입니다.

모든 일이 그렇게 쉬운 것이 아닙니다.

한 그루만 소나무 옮겨서 살려 보라는 것입니다.

혼자서 하려면 더 힘듭니다.

그래서 같이 여럿이서 움직이라는 것입니다.

10명이 하면 1/10밖에 힘이 안 들어가고, 100명이 하면 1/100밖에 안 들어갑니다.

여러분들이 무엇을 해봐야 그것이 힘든 것을 압니다.

소나무를 캐본 사람은 알 것입니다.

‘소나무 옮기기가 이렇게 힘든 것을 몰랐네. 정말 힘드네’합니다.

그렇게 해본 사람만이 소나무가 귀한 것을 알지, 그 외에는 모릅니다.

이곳도 조경에 참석하지 않은 사람들은 산에 있는 소나무를 그대로 살려서

돌을 쌓은 줄로 압니다.

그래서 그렇다고 그냥 해버렸습니다.

“여기 소나무는 손 안대고 정말로 자연스럽게 남겼습니다”

하면서 힘이 안든 것으로 생각합니다.

그러나 그것을 캐다가 심기까지는 혓바닥을 깨물면서 했습니다.

캐온 것도 힘들지만, 심기 위해서 바위를 나흘동안 파서 거기에 심었습니다.

그렇게 힘들게 한 것을 모릅니다.

그래도 한 그루도 안 죽고 다 살렸습니다.

‘이렇게 파서 심었는데 죽으면 안되지. 정성스럽게 해야지’ 해서 다 살렸습니다.

건성으로 했다면 다 죽었을 것입니다.

그와 같이 무엇이 존재하는 것은 쉽게 되는 것이 아닙니다.

굉장히 힘들게 존재하는 것입니다.

그냥 되는 것이 아닙니다.
