Long ago I said, “Since I don’t have materialistic things what would I set my heart on?

Because I don't have materialistic things, I don’t have anything on which to set my mind.”


People who have materialistic things set their mind on materials, but I didn’t have any.


I only had an old house, without a rice paddy.

When there was heavy rain, [the field's soil was washed away],

so after I filled in the land with soil, I could plant in the field .

Do you know where that field was?

One of the fields is the place where the small pine tree is, next to the pond.

I used to plant some potatoes in that small field.

The slope with the layered tree on the way to the Prayer Cave was also my field.

Nevertheless, I pulled out so many weeds that there was not even one remaining.


It is really painstaking seeing all of you doing farming of faith until it becomes neat.

If the owner doesn’t touch it, it becomes a mountain of weeds.

If the Lord doesn’t touch you, you also become a mountain.

When a field becomes a mountain, then it is filled with weeds.

While thinking of this, you have to diligently organize the field of your heart well.

 
나는 옛날에

“나는 물질이 없으니 내 마음은 어디에 있을까요?

나는 물질이 없으니 마음둘 곳이 없습니다”

했습니다.


물질 있는 사람은 물질에 마음 두지만 나는 아무것도 없었습니다.


헌집이나 하나있을 뿐이고, 논도 없었고,

밭이래야 한번 장마지면 그 다음에는 흙을 갖다 부어야

다시 심을 정도였습니다.

우리 밭이 어디에 있었는지 압니까?

그 중 한곳이 연못 옆에 왜솔나무 서있는 곳입니다.

조그만 뙤기가 거기에 있어서 거기에 감자 심고 그랬습니다.

기도굴 가는 곳의 층층목 있는 비탈길도 우리 밭이었습니다.

그래도 우리 밭은 얼마나 풀을 맸는지 풀이 하나도 없었습니다.


지금 여러분 신앙 농사 짓는 것을 봐도 그렇게 깔끔하게 하기까지는 눈물겹습니다.

주인이 손을 안대면 그대로 풀로 산이 됩니다.

주님이 손을 안대면 여러분도 산이 되어 버립니다.

밭이 산이 되면 무성해 집니다.

이런 것을 생각하면서 마음 밭을 부지런히 정리를 잘해야 겠습니다.
