After I had told my disciples to find big pine trees, we found three trees from the Yongdam Dam construction area in Jinan, and we transplanted them.

However, two of them died, and it was only this one–which had been planted in a place that I had designated–that survived.

This tree is the biggest pine tree masterpiece among all the living trees that have been transplanted to Wolmyeongdong.

It is over 300 years old.

제자들에게 큰 소나무를 구해 보라 하였을 때,

전북 진안 용담에 댐 만드는 곳에서 세 주(株 : 나무를 세는 단위)를 캐 와서 심었는데

두 주는 죽고 선생이 지정한 곳에 심은 이 한 주만 살아남았다.

아름드리 소나무는

“그곳에 그냥 두면 땅에 묻혀 죽으니 사 와라.” 하여 사 온 소나무로
캐 온 소나무 중에서 월명동에 살아 있는 가장 큰 소나무 작품이다.

이 나무는 300년이 넘은 소나무다.

“찾으면 있다.” 하는 계시의 소나무이다.
