This is a story that happened when I was in elementary school.

I was sitting on the ridge of Wolmyeongdong lawn that heads toward Hwoetgol.

I asked the Lord while thinking 'the electronic waves of radios and televisions are really fast. They are even faster than all of

nature, animals, and human beings. Why did God create the lords of all creation to be inferior to a beast and nature?'

I continuously lamented over the weakness of human beings.

I also asked, "God, Why didn't You create human beings to be superior to any other creation? Is it because the world is too

small? Did you create [us] like this because there would be no space for human beings to move around on the small earth if

they moved as fast as light?"


"Why didn't God create human beings to be faster than light?

Human beings are the lords over all creation, but what is the reason that God didn't create human beings to be faster than

birds that fly in the sky or wild animals?"

Thinking about this, I kept talking and looking at the sky whether anyone was listening or not.

At that moment, the Lord made me realize, 'Since human beings are the lords over all creation, wouldn't I create [them] to

be faster than light and faster than electronic waves?'

On that day, I realized that that was the 'mind'.

It was because that was a time when I didn't know much about the spirit.

The Lord taught and enlightened me even before I asked Him to teach me as my teacher.

Ultimately, I learned from the Lord about the world of the mind and about the spirit.

 내가 초등학생 때의 일입니다.

지금 월명동 잔디밭 상단에 회골로 가는 쪽 능선에 앉아 있었을 때였습니다.

‘라디오와 TV 전파는 정말 빠르다. 만물과 짐승들과 사람보다 더 빠르다.

왜 하나님은 만물의 영장을 짐승과 만물만도 못하게 창조해 놓으셨을까?’

생각하면서 주님께 여쭤보기도 했습니다.

나는 계속 인간의 약함을 한탄했습니다.

“하나님은 왜 인간을 만물보다 뛰어나게 창조하지 않으셨어요? 세상이 좁아서입니까?

빛같이 빨리 다닐 수 있게 창조하셨다면 지구가 너무 좁아서

인간이 활동할 공간이 없을 것이기에 그같이 창조하신 것입니까?”

묻기도 했습니다.


“왜 인간을 빛보다 빠르지 않게 창조하셨을까?

인간은 만물의 영장인데 공중을 나는 새보다,

날짐승보다 빨리 다닐 수 있게 창조하지 않으신 이유가 무엇일까?”

생각하면서 하늘을 쳐다보며 누가 듣든지 말든지 혼자 계속 이야기를 했습니다.

이때 ‘인간은 만물의 영장인데 빛보다, 전파보다 더 빠르게 창조하지 않았겠느냐.’하고

깨닫게 해 주셨습니다.


그것이 ‘정신’이라는 것을 그날 깨달았습니다.

그때는 영에 대해 잘 모를 때였기 때문입니다.

주님은 내가 주님께 나의 선생이 되어 가르쳐 달라고 하기 전부터

나를 가르쳐 주시고 깨우쳐 주셨습니다.

결국 나는 주님께 정신의 세계에 대해 배웠고, 또 영에 대해 배웠습니다.
